Herds

Herds organize animals and make reporting easier.

What Herds Are For​

Use herds to group animals by:

  • Species
  • Show project
  • Pasture or barn location
  • Owner or student
  • Season or breeding group

Edit Herds​

Open Settings, then Herd settings to create, rename, describe, or delete herds.

Delete Herds​

Deleting a herd does not delete its animals. Animals from the deleted herd are moved to Unassigned.

BarnBuddy shows a delete confirmation first, then a toast after the herd is deleted.
